Wedding coverage is different for each couple. Pete is very versatile and flexible to meet any situation. All wedding proof prints are printed into 5x5 color copywrited photographs. The proof books that hold the proof prints are slate grey in color and hold 200 photographs per book.Normal coverage of a wedding day consists of about 400 proof prints. Pete begins by photographing the bride, her family, and the bridesmaids before the wedding ceremony, either at the bride's house or the church. Then all men are photographed about one hour before the ceremony at the church. All ceremony photographs are taken from the back of the church without flash, due to requirements imposed by most churches. Formals after the ceremony usually take about thirty minutes depending on how large the wedding party is, and the number of family members involved in formal photographs.
Candid coverage of the reception includes introduction of the wedding party, cake cutting, and photographs of dances and special events. Pete usually photographs up through the bouquet and garter event. This is usually towards the end of the evening, allowing all special photographs to be competed, including a good-bye photograph. Then when you return from your honeymoon your proofs will normally be ready for you to pick up.
Pricing for a normal wedding day of coverage consists of a full day wedding coverage for $500. This includes mileage, tolls and parking with the exception of downtown Chicago. Twenty rolls of 220 color film and one roll high speed 120 for the ceremony runs $210. Three Topflight 5x5 slate proof books to hold 480 5x5 prints are $100. 480 color 5x5 original proof prints, color analyzed and color corrected are $638. This brings an average wedding total to $1448. Sales tax will be added at the rate of .075 of 10% of the total. A large wedding party may require additional cost due to increased amount of film.
This price also includes an engagement sitting, twelve proofs & 2 4x5 black and white prints. Also from the wedding proofs, you may select 8 color 8x10 prints and 2 black & white 4x5 prints for use in the newspaper. Pete can accomodate most budgets & requests.
